Talltoppen 90

Talltoppen is our most popular range of family homes. Its classical style will never go out of fashion, and the internal living space is simply stunning in its spaciousness. The key feature of a Talltoppen house is the barrel vaulted ceiling in the lounge which gives a ceiling height in excess of six metres, and the split level mezzanine floor above the bedrooms which adds additional lounge area with a gallery looking down over the lounge. These features are common to all the models in the Talltoppen range of log houses.

Talltoppen is available in sizes ranging from forty square metres ground area all the way up to one hundred and fifty square metres. The smaller Talltoppen log cabins make ideal holiday cabins, while the larger models are generally used as family homes for permanent living. All the Talltoppen models are very highly specified with triple glazing throughout, and Baseco Pine floorboards in the public areas. The client has a choice of wall finishes inside from log profiled Pine panelling, particle board, or plasterboard.

Talltoppen log chalets feature a steeply pitched roof with a large overhang over a spacious decking area where it is pleasant to sit on warm evenings even when it is wet. Triple glazed doors lead into the open plan lounge/kitchen area with its high vaulted ceiling. Depending on the model, access to the mezzanine floor is either by stairs in the hallway, or stairs in the lounge. The mezzanine floor is open to the lounge and is often used as a TV or study area. On larger models there are also bedrooms on the mezzanine floor. Below the mezzanine floor there are bedrooms, bathroom, and a sauna room.

Some of our clients have chosen to extend the mezzanine floor right over the lounge to create more bedrooms upstairs and turn the Talltoppen into a full two storey house with a balcony across the front leading into the master bedroom.
