Loftstugen Loft Cabins

Loftstugen Loft cabins are similar in construction to the Tallbo single storey log cabin, but they are considerably taller with a sleeping platform above the rooms to the rear of the cabin accessed by a stair from the lounge area. The lounge area has a very high ceiling which makes it feel very spacious.

Loftstugen loft cabins are constructed with a 58mm Pine log as used in our permanent living houses. As an option they may be fitted with full wall insulation which allows them to meet Building Regulations as permanent living houses. The internal wall insulation is finished with log profiled Pine log cladding which looks identical to the exterior logs. This composite wall construction allows all electrics and plumbing to be concealed without the need for drilling through the logs.

The ceiling of a Loftstugen cabin is tongue and grooved Pine cladding with insulation above. This ensures that the cabin is warm enough for year round use no matter what the weather conditions.

Windows are the same 16mm sealed unit double glazed pine framed windows used in the Tallbo cabins, and the door is a 96mm thick fully insulated door with a secure cylinder lock as used in the Tallbo cabin.

Because Loftstugen is greater than 4 metres tall, then planning permission is required to erect one in your garden.

Loftstugen cabins make ideal holiday cottages or fishing lodges. Kids love the upstairs sleeping area, and adults appreciate the spacious ground floor accommodation. The large roof overhang at the front creates a nice sheltered space on the large decking area at the front of the cabin. Loftstugen log cabins are economical and may be constructed with or without full insulation depending on whether they are intended for full time use.

There are two sizes of Loftstugen loft cabins available, the Loftstugen 30, and the Loftstugen 35.
